Talk about your brand
Hey there, I'm Michael Massadeh. Most days you can find me running around and chassing my kiddos, Everett (4) and Mason (2)
I am mostly know for always having a smile on my face even when going 110% since my Marine Corps days
People often refer to me as a very happy guy, and I love helping others grow spiritually, mentally, and physically. I find that assisting others in their physical well-being comes most naturally to me.
The things I am most passionate about in life are:
spending time with my kids, and adrenaline-packed events like sky jumping, dirt biking and racing up a mountain on a side by side.
I want to help people who are yearning for a better lifestyle, but are struggling with finding time to efficiently work out. I also like people who are looking for immediate muscle gains and who are totally into fitness.
If you're dying to hear more, here are four things you might not know about me.
1. I speak 3 languages, including a bit of American Sign Language
2. I always try to put the needs of others before my own.
3. I'm hoping to open a veteran-focused non-profit gym in the next 5 years.
4. I know I'm not perfect, so I'm daily trying to improve myself and am always looking for self-improvement techniques.
Talk about your brand
We started this business by complete accident. Several years back when all the gyms closed during Covid, I was still in the military, and my brother and I just wanted a place to work out. Unfortunately, all the gyms were closed, and I being frugal, looked for some used gym equipment. I was poorly disappointed to find rusted and beat up equipment going for thousands of dollars (more expensive than the new ones) I soon found out the reason. New equipment was on back order for up to a year at certain locations, and most people were seizing the opportunity to price gouge. My brother and I decided to reach out to a few of the local gyms that closed and see if they would be willing to sell us any good equipment at a reasonable rate. They said they would, but on one condition. We had to buy the complete lot. I've always strived to put others' needs ahead of my own, and I figured if my brother and I could pool some money together to buy the equipment, we could keep what we needed and sell the leftovers. Good condition equipment for cheaper than all the rusted equipment we had seen for sale. Long story short, we were very blessed and had the opportunity to do this enough times and network with enough companies and manufacturers that we eventually reached the point where we were able to start buying equipment in larger quantities and eventually manufacturing our own brand --Cactus Fitness Equipment. We're very excited for the future, and we hope to see you at the gym.
